The objective of this course is to support a role in the workplace and give learners personal growth and engagement in learning. The qualification is designed for learners who wish to progress to a higher or supervisory level within a food catering business.

What is this qualification?
This qualification is ideal for anyone working in the catering and hospitality industry or those about to start work in the industry. Subjects covered include hazards and controls, food safety management and temperature controls, food poisoning control, personal hygiene, cleaning and disinfection, food pests, and the role of the food handler in keeping food safe.

How is this course assessed?
This qualification is assessed through a 30-question multiple-choice examination. The duration of the examination is 1 hour. Successful learners must achieve a score of at least 20 out of 30.
Learners are required to be 16 years of age prior to certification.
It is also advised that learners have a minimum of level 1 in English and maths.
This course is dependent on whether you meet the criteria.
Once you have successfully completed the course, results can take up to 12 weeks to be processed by Highfield.
Certificates will then sent out to your home or work address, as listed on your booking details.
