This 5 day course gives candidates an understanding of principles of customer service.

What is this qualification?
This qualification provides learners with the essential customer service knowledge and skills required by those who wish to pursue or further a career in customer service.

This qualification gives learners the opportunity to gain a nationally accredited qualification which provides the essential knowledge, techniques and personal qualities required for an occupation in a customer facing environment.

Format of Course
This course will be held over 5 days and will cover the following units: 
  • Understanding the organisation
  • Prepare to deliver excellent customer service 
  • Communication in the customer service role 

On completion of this qualification the learner will be able to:
  • Understand the factors that affect an organisation and the customer service role
  • Understand employee rights, responsibilities and organisational procedures 
  • Understand career pathways within customer service 
  • Understand how employees are supported within the customer service role 
  • Know the organisation’s policies and procedures 
  • Understand the principles of customer service in an organisation 
  • Understand how to balance customer expectations against the organisation’s offer
  • Understand how complaints are handled 
  • Understand legislation relating to customer service 
  • Understand methods of communication 
  • Understand how to handle customer service information 
  • Understand how to work as part of a team to provide effective customer service 
  • Understand how to meet the needs of a diverse range of customers 
  • Understand the importance of promoting and evaluating products and services

How is this course assessed?
This course is assessed through written tasks, professional discussions and practical observation.
 
Pre-requisites?
There are no formal pre-requisites for this qualification. However, it is advised that learners have a minimum of level 1 in English and maths.

FREE for those in receipt of benefits*

Eligibility Requirements
In order to receive the course for free you must:
  1. Be aged 19 years of age by 31/8/16
  2. Have attended a Sign up Session 
  3. Provide Pavilion Training with sufficient evidence for proof of receipt of benefit.
  4. Claiming one or more of the following State Benefits*:
  • Job Seekers Allowance (JSA) including those receiving National Insurance Credits only.
  • Employment Support Allowance (ESA) and are in the Work Related Activity Group (WRAG). Proof of WRAG needed from JCP.
  • Universal Credit (because you are unemployed and are required to undertake skills training).

You must provide Pavilion Training with a sufficient proof of benefit dated within 1 month of the start of the course. Failure to provide this benefit letter will invalidate your booking.

Results
Once you have successfully completed the course, results can take up to 12 weeks to be processed by NCFE. 
Certificates will then sent out to your home or work address, as listed on your booking details.
